One Baby's Journey with End Stage Renal Failure

Rabbit Hole

So Camden’s reducing substances test came back negative; he is not lactose intolerant. And yet we’re still here. This place, the hospital, is such a fucking rabbit hole…once you go down it…ugh.
Cam is doing ok despite the fact that he’s locked in a tiny room with people constantly poking and prodding at him. He just had his second blood draw of the morning. Boo. Pokes suck. But he is finally disconnected from all the lines and can roam rather tiny room and get into all kinds of things. We are waiting for the doctors to round to figure out where we’re at. But of course, there was a shift change today which means a new nephrologist and not Cam’s nephrologist like I’d hoped. We shall see what the day brings. Hoping it leads is us. But ya know…the rabbit hole.

Ugh the black hole that a hospital can be is frustrating. I’m hoping Cam feels better and you can convince someone to let you out. Sending hugs from NJ.
